World War One – Parramatta Soldiers – John Walter William Bentley
World War One – Parramatta Soldiers – John Walter William Bentley

John Bentley was a 35 year-old carter living in Ada Street Parramatta when he enlisted 4 March 1916.

His wife Florence Margaret was living at 2 Eva Terrace, off Elizabeth Street in Sydney. He was killed in action in France 13 May 1917 and his name is on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial in France.
