The Vault Room in Parramatta Town Hall is also known as the ‘Safe’, walk in safe, Strong room, strongroom loft. It is located on the ground floor of the two-storey town hall in Parramatta Centenary Square. Access is via the reception/ administration room.
Based on Tanner Kibble Denner Architects Parramatta Town Hall conservation management plan (2021), the vault room has been recognised as having elements of heritage significance for its:
- original Strong Room stone flooring (basalt)
- strong Room concrete arch vaulted ceiling
- strong room safe door, including brass plaques
- strong Room Time Capsule including plaque and plaque on verandah
