Cabbage tree hat making – presented by Sue Brian
Sue developed a passion for learning traditional skills in weaving and hat-making, while living on Norfolk Island, using various fibres particular to the Polynesian style, since then she extended her study to cabbage tree hat making during Australian colonial times. Sue is now in demand to teach this craft at many folk and heritage festivals around Australia. The following three video tutorials in cabbage tree hat making are presented by Sue and filmed by her husband Don. Thanks both for your much appreciated work and passion to preserve the cultural skills of colonial Australia.
