World War One – Parramatta Soldiers – Frank Henry Leydecker

Private Frank Henry Leydecker

Private Frank Henry Leydecker was an 18 year old operator from Alfred Street, Granville.

He was the son of Mr Frank James Leydecker, and Mrs J Leydecker. He enlisted on 15 November 1915 and was assigned to the 20 Infantry Battalion, 10 Reinforcements. He embarked with his unit aboard the HMAT Orsova A67 from Sydney on 11 March 1916. On 17 May 1916 he was admitted to 4 Auxiliary Hospital suffering from mumps.

On 27 April 1916 he was admitted to 3 Auxiliary Hospital, Cairo, with mild flat foot. He embarked for Home Service from Devonport to Australia per H.T. Runic A54 on 4 May 1917, suffering Flat Foot. He was discharged on 11 August 1917.
