What we do

The Research and Collection Services (RCS) team is passionate about gathering, preserving and sharing the history and heritage of our dynamic river city at the centre of global Sydney – that is Parramatta.

We collect and care for council and community archives, civic and cultural objects, archaeological artefacts and a collection of mixed media material. Our Research Library houses a broad range of books, newspapers, reports and microfilm.

Click on the ‘What we do’ menu to explore our digital archives and collections and read our research articles and publications online.  For further information contact our helpful and professional team by phone or via our online enquiry form.
